FINGER LIMES

As these unique caviar pearls of the lime family continue to fascinate chefs, bartenders and bakers, more and more growers are offering this thorny tree product. We have worked with several growers to offer the Finger Lime and while we once had an affordable retail package, packers have all gone to silly expensive larger packs. We do have some of our own trees in Edison, California where we are just finishing our first winter crop. There is a lot of fruit on the tree and we only pick to order but the selection is not pretty. There is some yellow and some with just a few brown spots but it is all #2 product. We know better than to offer this retail, but the vesicles (inside buds bursting with flavor) are intact and are perfect if using without the skin. While they would not look great whole, they will slice beautifully. So we have some #2’s that others might sell as #1‘s or #1.5’s. We are also offering these less than perfect fruits for less than half the price of our #1 Finger Limes. If you want them, we will pick them. We can ship them direct via Fed-Ex, consolidate at the LA Market, or combine with your potato orders. Please check in for details.

SOMETHING SPECIAL

It’s a fruit! It’s a brand! It’s organic! It’s real inexpensive! Enough with the car sales, here is the deal. We are offering some exceptional quality organic oranges. They come with all the certification you need. These are Washington variety heirloom oranges. They are packed under a new brand called “Something Special™” I know we could do a “Who’s On First” shtick, but that really is the brand name as well as the nature of the product. Here’s where it gets good. We are packing this due to overflow of crop and to introduce the brand we are offering prime organic product at conventional prices. We offer sizing as large as 40 count and as small as 138 count. These are 40# cases and stack at 54 per pallet. Brix on these delicious oranges averages at about 15%. Because these oranges are loaded in the same location as our California Fingerling potatoes, we can send samples or consolidate the two. Now for the hat-trick! We can also combine the organic Finger Limes mentioned above with the organic Washington Heirloom Oranges, and Fingerling potatoes all in one location or transfer it for an LA consolidation. Isn’t that amazing? Where are the orders? Why isn’t our phone ringing? This won’t last forever. If you order before midnight tomorrow we’ll j throw in power windows and AC.
