FORTH OF JULY SCHEDULE

Maybe it is because we are all getting older or maybe it is because the world really has dramatically changed, but for the past 15 years the meaning of this holiday gains more and more meaning. This year there is great need to reflect on our independence both domestically and internationally. What it actually means to us from a government and terrorist point or view is something that we should all think about, appreciate, and get to know better. As we grill, drink, eat, swim, sail, drive and congregate, will wish you meaningful and educated conversation. Enough with the preaching, on with the schedule. Culinary will be on hand as always but all major markets are closed. Some California shippers are open for limited hours but most are taking the day off. The ones that are open have reduced hours as well as many receivers that have limited AM hours. All Tuesday deliveries need to be placed by Friday 7-1-2016. Also on Friday 7-1-2016, we will begin our weekend celebration early. Accounting will close at 1:00 PM while sales and operations will close up when done. As usual we at Culinary are always available by calling just one number, but our ability to procure and or move produce will be extremely limited. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday 7-5-2016. From us and ours to you and yours we wish you a safe, healthy and happy holiday weekend. EAT FINGERLINGS!!!!

POST HOLIDAY DEALS

So the summer season is upon us and we try to make the living easy and fun. No long hours in the kitchen and the fare lightens up a bit. Now the fingerlings blanch for 15 minutes and finish on the grill and served steakside or cooled for your favorite potato salad recipe. The baby lettuce absorbs the juice of the chicken or burger, decorates the guacamole, or gets grilled, filled and tied with a chive for a gluten free organic beggars prose. Fortunately we have great supplies of both. There are really good grower direct deals on these items that are standards. We are also pleased to announce that the damage from the heat wave has past. Baby root veg are looking great with the breakfast radish leading the pack. Tops to the carrots, beets, turnips and radishes are looking good. Solid color and sturdy tops are goods indicators for flawless arrivals. Tomatoes are also available but they are not as abundant as the tomato craziness that will occur in late July. Most of the spring forage has passed but morels, porcini and chanterelles are easily available. Micro mixes are a snap and make an incredible bed of greens to absorb the juices of whatever you are cooling from the grill.
