MIDNIGHT WATERMELON

Although the exact parentage remains unknown, it is believed to be a cross between the Crimson Sweet and Black Diamond watermelons. The Midnight Watermelon was first grown in Japan in the 1980s and has gained popularity for its musky flavor and striking contrast between the green-black rind and blood-red flesh. Midnight is an F1 Hybrid watermelon with a black-skinned rind. The fruit itself is round, weighs around 4-5 kg, and features very sweet, blood-red pulp.  When you slice open a Midnight Watermelon, you’ll discover firm, dark red flesh with small pips. Its flavor is sweet and fruity, with subtle cucumber notes. It’s a treat for the senses, offering both visual appeal and crisp, juicy texture. Midnight watermelons are grown in Mexico, packed in  5 count cases, and are now in the market.
